At Napier Girls' High School we have a long and proud tradition of excellence in sport.
Despite the recent challenges, in 2023 we had many Napier Girls' High School students selected to represent various regional teams, and 18 who were selected into national squads or achieved nationally.
Current NGHS Students 2023
In 2023, Graecyn Parahi made the New Zealand U16 Basketball team and travelled to Jordan in July to compete in the FIBA Asian Championships.
Grace Henricksen was selected for the Junior Paddle Ferns (U21) to play in the Oceania Champs in Dec 2023.
Wikitoria Tamati toured the USA with the Junior White Sox, in July 2023.
Meg Ronberg was selected for the NZU18 Canoe Polo team to play in the Oceania Champs in Dec 2023.
Isla Cleall-Harding made the NZU16 Football Ferns to play in the OFC U16 Women's Championship in Tahiti.
Lily & Poppy Tarrant were selcted for the NZ U18 Mounted Games team to travel to Dubai to compete at the Worlds in Dec.

Kimiora Poi - Silver Ferns Player and Captain of the Tactix in 2023.
Josie Trousdell (née Stockill) bebuted for the Tall Ferns on the tour of China in 2014
Renee Baarspul - 3 gold medals in weightlifting at the Pacific Games 2023
Parris Petera has been signed to the Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse for 2024!
Charlotte Lancaster played football for NZ U20 in 2022 & is contracted Wellington Phoenix FC
