Drama features strongly at NGHS with a large range of opportunities outside the classroom. 

There is a range of groups: Drama Club where students are able to devise and work with their own scripts.  There is also Theatrefest, the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival and the Theatresports competition. Parents are also invited to the assessment evenings.

PRIVATE SPEECH AND DRAMA LESSONS

Private speech and drama lessons are available with our itinerant teacher Emma Bowyer a qualified Trinity College Speech and Drama teacher. Students work in small groups to develop confidence in public speaking, performance, team building and effective communication skills all of which are highly transferable skills.

Classes take place during the school day with students coming out of class for one session per week. Students can work toward external Trinity College of London Speech and Drama examinations, which are internationally recognised qualifications.
