“Empowering ākonga to achieve success and fulfilment, for themselves, whānau and community”

Mihimihi: Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Napier Girls' High School | Te Kura Tuarua Kōhine Ki Ahuriri

Where our rich traditions and core values have shaped the lives of rangatahi/  young people since 1884.

We believe that every one of our students possesses unique talents and it is our vocation to nurture and develop these taonga/gifts to their fullest potential.

Our kaupapa: "Empowering ākonga to achieve success and fulfilment, for themselves, whānau and community" is underpinned by our core values of Manaakitanga - respect and caring; Kairangi Whaiaro - personal excellence; and Whānaungatanga - relationships and connection. With our commitment to providing sound pastoral care to ensure wellbeing and our traditions creating a sense of belonging, the success of every student is assured. Our students consistently achieve well above the average in national assessments, reflecting the personalised learning and innovative, culturally responsive teaching that is a feature of our school.

We invite you to join us at Napier Girls' High School | Te Kura Tuarua Kōhine Ki Ahuriri. Together, let us continue the proud legacy of empowering the rangatahi that are our future.

Ngā manaakitanga
